WELCOME TO GOD FOCUS THIS MORNING

THE TITLE FOR TODAY’S EPISODE:  THE VOICE

There are so many voices in the world. Advertisers scream at us that their products are best. They pay sports stars and celebrities millions to convince us that we need to give them our money.

Our past often screams at us, you messed up, you are worthless, you will never amount to anything. All the things the enemy would love for us to believe about ourselves. Things other children said to you or about in grade school tries to make its way into your feeling of self-worth. Every failure, screams at us.

The news is constantly screaming about how bad things are in the world. But they don’t tell the truth of the children being tortured at the hands of a group of evil people. The news wants to distract with stories of how one politician insulted the other while ignoring the big picture.

In the midst of all of that screaming for our attention is a still small voice that whispers, I love you my child.  It whispers, come and rest in me. We know we can trust that voice because it brings us peace. Truly Jesus is the only one who can give us peace beyond our  comprehension.

In the middle of your chaos and all the voices that scream for your attention, listen for the still, calm voice of Jesus.  He will pull you out of the chaos.
