WELCOME TO GOD FOCUS THIS MORNING

The title of today’s episode: ILLUSIONS OR TRUTH

My mind wandered today to the scene in The Wizard of Oz where the wizard was discovered for who he really was, just a man. The little dog pulled back the curtain and all the booming voice, smoke and mirrors were just illusion. The powerful Oz was just a man. These people had been ruled by him and lived in fear of him for a long time. He even made one last attempt to hold onto his illusion, “Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.” The fake voice boomed.

How many times have we cowered to satan thinking he was this big scary thing. We give him way to much credit. There are times we think he is all knowing, but he is not, he doesn’t know who he will end up with when it is all said and done. He only knows his time is getting short. He has had centuries to try to destroy God’s plan. He has deceived many into throwing away their opportunities to find freedom in Jesus.

He is flashy and larger than life with all of his smoke and mirrors. He can create an amazing illusion. We have to be wise enough to stay away from his plans for our lives. He often will play into our desires. He knows if we want a certain job, a career, a spouse or children. He will try to create the perfect illusion.

Phil 4:6-7 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

We need to not be too excited that things may look like they are working out, we need to pray about them. If the opportunity is not God’s plan, then we need to leave it alone. The enemy will often offer us just what we have been wanting, just before our breakthrough. God will give us above anything we could ever imagine. We have to be sure that we are not falling for an illusion.

When entering a situation, do not allow emotions to override discernment. I am reminded of a time when I saw red flags about a situation. But because my husband seemed to want to take a certain route, we made a large purchase. We ended up in a mess. When I finally said to him, I only bought it because I thought you wanted it. He said I only bought it because I thought you wanted it. It caused us and our families a lot of unnecessary stress. We realized in our young marriage that we needed to be bluntly honest about things from that point on; lesson learned.

The word says the truth will set you free. That is true on so many levels. The truth is not always what we want to hear, but it is what we need.  People do not want to believe the truth of God’s word. They would rather have their illusion behind the curtain. Their fake life that looks like they want, instead of the real one that they could have in Christ.

But someday, all will be revealed. Just like the little dog pulled back the curtain. There will be no more hiding behind the illusion. When the truth is made known many will be shocked. Because this great big boogie man that we have been avoiding and hiding from, turns out to be nothing.

Isaiah 14:12-17 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. 15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. 16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms; 17 That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?

Pay attention to verse 16 it says They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms; They will see him at that moment for who he really is, he may have some power in the earth today, but it is nothing compared to the power of God which lives within us.

It’s time we look at him for what he is, just a weak version of himself. Hiding behind the curtain.

Luke 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

When fear tries to attack, we need to tell the enemy he is under our feet. The word says that nothing shall by any means hurt you. God has not given us fear; he is the God of peace. Fear comes from the bag of illusions the enemy carries with him.

Do not fall for his illusions, stand strong, be bold, tell him he has no place in your home, your mind or your life. He will not take your family or anything that pertains to you.

We will prevail as long as we hold onto Jesus and not fall for the illusion of a lie that is the enemy. Ask God for discernment when situations arise, we know that things are not always as they appear. God will never lead us astray but will give us a solid foundation on which to stand. He is our truth.

WELCOME TO GOD FOCUS THIS MORNING

The title of today’s episode is: TRUTH

“A lie told often enough becomes the truth” originated with Vladimir Lenin.

This idea has been adopted by Adolf Hitler and many politicians. The truth is sometimes hard to discern. We have blindly depended on the media to tell us the truth. But many truths are left unsaid, and many lies are being spoken. Not only by the media, but by so-called preachers in the pulpits. People hear lies about what verses in the word mean until they believe it. It becomes traditions of men.

Our society has bought into the latest lie, If it is true for you then it is your truth. So if you believe you are a pink flamingo and stand in the yard everyday on one foot, people are supposed to call you a flamingo. This is not truth. This is madness. The truth is you are a human being not a flamingo. It doesn’t matter what you believe, even if you believe it with all your being, you will never be a flamingo. It doesn’t matter what the Disney movies tell you about wishing on a star.

God is getting ready to do a new thing, in these last days. We cannot make an idol of our denominations and doctrines. We cannot make idols of preachers or pastors. They are people that are hopefully called of God. (Although, some of the TV ministers have been placed by evil people to water down the gospel.)

There is only one truth, that is the truth of God. We are at a point when we need to question everything. Ask God for his understanding and guidance. The movement God is trying to birth in the earth is one of pure religion or pure truth.

I often think of how the Israelites followed a cloud in the desert. The glory of God was light to Israel and darkness to the Pharaoh. God has shown himself to people all through the bible in different ways. But he never deviated from who he was or from his character. He is love and truth.

We have to get to the point in life that we are lead by the Spirit of God. That is the function of the Holy Ghost in the earth. He is here to lead and guide us into all truth and righteousness.

John 16:13-15 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. 15 All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

Who’s report are you going to believe?  God’s report or the lies of the enemy. He is a master of telling lies. If we are not careful, he will deceive us into lying to ourselves. God will lead us into all truth, if we let him. It is too bad that people’s noses don’t grow like Pinocchio. Since that doesn’t happen, we have to rely on the Spirit of God inside of us to show us the truth.

“Right is right, even if everyone is against it, and wrong is wrong, even if everyone is for it.—William Penn-A quaker who founded the Province of Pennsylvania during the British Colonial Era.

Those words are still true today. There is no such thing as a little white lie. Either something is true or it is false. There is no middle ground, no way to sugar coat it. The truth is fact, even if no one believes it.

Prov 30:5-6 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. 6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

We can trust God’s word, but even there we have to make sure we have the proper translation. Not all translations are created equal. Some even skip verses when it furthers the agenda of evil people. The church has been infiltrated by those who want to lull everyone to sleep with big smiling, feel good message about your best life. All the time for them it is about gaining larger crowds for monetary gain.

Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

We can depend on God because he is pure and good and true. He wants only what is best for us. We have to get serious about our prayer lives and ask him for his leading. If we truly depend on him, we will not go astray. God is truth, God is Love and God is purity. Only in him can we find the absolute truth about life, happiness and eternity.

It is so simple and yet we make it so hard sometimes. If we depend on him and look to him, he will lead us and guide us. As long as he is in the lead, we will never go wrong. But we have to be honest with ourselves, have we really yielded everything to Christ? The true answer to that question will give you the answers you need for your next step in life.

EPISODE 58 — GOD CAN NOT LIE

EPISODE 58 — GOD CAN NOT LIE

WELCOME TO GOD FOCUS THIS MORNING

The title of today’s episode is: “GOD CANNOT LIE”

What if you had a friend that it was impossible for them to tell a lie. Would you take them at their word even when things seemed too good to be true? Well we have such a friend in Jesus. He cannot lie.

Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

When God gives us his promises in his word, we can be sure that it is truth. Faith should come easy. But it doesn’t always. Often, we struggle when we look at situations through the lens of our experiences, emotions or intuition. God is beyond our human lens. This is where we learn to have child like faith.  If God said it, we need to believe it and fully take Him at His word. (He cannot lie).

Heb 6:17-19 Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: 18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: 19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;

God confirmed two things to his children. Verse 18 says it was impossible for God to lie. The second thing is to have encouragement and hope in the Lord. Not just hope, but a hope that anchors our soul.

Think about an anchor. On a boat, the anchor keeps the ship from getting carried along with the current. When the enemy comes along whispering lies, trying to get us caught up in fear or anxiety.  God’s truth is our anchor that keeps us from being carried along with the current. That way we do not end up at a destination that satan chooses. God’s hope anchors the soul.

We must remember when faced with the enemy’s lies that God cannot lie. His promises are real and true. I want to remind you of just a few of his promises.

Is 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

He tells us to not fear because he is with us and will give us strength.

Is 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

He will keep us in peace if we focus our thoughts on Him.

Phil 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

He will supply our needs.

Deut 31:8 And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.

He will not leave us nor forsake us.

Ps 32:8 I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.

He will teach us and guide us.

Exodus 14:14 – The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

He will fight for us.

The Bible is full of promises and things God has said concerning His people. The more of the word we get on the inside of us, the more we will trust, because we will know what all He has said and we know he cannot lie.
