WELCOME TO GOD FOCUS THIS MORNING

THE TITLE FOR TODAY’S EPISODE:  DON’T SELL OUT

Every moment in time is unique, every wave that crashed against the sea shore will never crash again, even though the water goes back and more waves crash. Every step we take gets us closer to our goals or it takes us further away. Depending on our direction. Are we boldly crashing the shore of the future or are we retreating only to be tossed in the waves.

God honors the bold and the brave. He is calling all of us to be bold and stand for the truth. It is going to take a bold church to stand up to the brazen, blatant display of evil that is in our face 24/7. The enemy is trying harder than ever to destroy as many people as possible. Because he knows his time is short to lock people into a life they cannot get out of. One of blaspheming against God’s spirit.

Matt 12:31-32 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. 32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

The Pharisees committed this unpardonable sin when they said that Jesus cast out devils by the prince of devils. They looked like holy men on the outside, but inside their hearts were pure evil. They were very insecure that Jesus’ popularity would take away their standing in the community. When they heard he had cast out devils.

Matt 12:24-26 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils. 25 And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand: 26 And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?

In trying to sway the people away from Jesus, they actually sealed their own fate. It is no small thing to speak negatively about the Holy Ghost of God. He was sent to this earth to be our help and guide.

Matt 8:14-16 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. Matt 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

There is nothing we face as children of God that we cannot get through, as long as we are led by the Spirit of God. We are no longer in bondage. It is not wise for us to allow man made things to bind us up. Look at the Phariasees, they were bound by their religion. I say their religion, because they took the ten commandments and made hundreds of rules to keep them from breaking the original ten. Jesus came to set us free from bondage. We cannot allow man made rules bind us up in religion.

Today is the day of salvation, today is the day to dig deep into the word, today is the day to pray and intercede against the enemy and what is coming. If the Spirit of God dwells within us, we need to ask that we develop spiritual sensitivity to understand and discern the voice of God.

We are standing on the edge of our Red Sea, life is about to change. How it changes for us will be determined if we are listening to the voice of God or falling into fear. Will we be a wave that penetrates the sand, or will we be drawn back out to sea. Because we have given in to the enemy and his lies. So don’t sell out to the enemy.

WELCOME TO GOD FOCUS THIS MORNING

THE TITLE FOR TODAY’S EPISODE:  OUT OF THE WILDERNESS

The place we find ourselves is often referred to as the wilderness. Many things happen while in such a place. Trials happen and growth also happens in the wilderness. There are different reasons we end up in the wilderness. Sometimes it is because of our disobedience. Other times it is a place God allows to grow us.

If you find yourself in a wilderness, ask yourself why you are there. If you cannot think of a reason of disobedience. Then God has allowed it to grow you. Embrace the wilderness and watch vigilantly for the enemy to attack.

Matt 4:1-4 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. 2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. 3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. 4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Notice, he was led into the wilderness by the spirit. He had to overcome the enemy in that quiet place away from prying eyes. If he had not overcome the enemy there, he would not have had the power to resist turning his back on the assignment of the cross. Because the crushing of the time leading to the cross was even greater than the temptations, he faced with satan in the wilderness.

The Spirit of God leads us and guides us where we need to be, even if we feel alone and isolated.

Matt 4:5-7 Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, 6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. 7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

Satan took Jesus up to a high pinnacle, trying to tempt him into jumping off. He was trying to destroy him. Hoping that those angels would not show up and he would die. When he couldn’t take Jesus out by suicide he tried to play to his ego by offering him great power.

Matt 4:8-10 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; 9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. 10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

How many people have set aside the calling of God on their life for power and a short cut? How many people have sold their souls to the devil for fame and wealth? They have a false sense of power. Jesus knew anything that the enemy offered in the wilderness was not going to get him where he needed to go.

People today need to realize that the things of this life are temporary. We must live our lives to the fullest and make sure that we are listening to God and not the enemy.

Once Jesus came out of the wilderness he started his ministry. Everyone’s wilderness looks different, because God has allowed your wilderness to propel you forward to your calling. My wilderness would look different because my calling is different. Every day, if we yield our lives to Christ, we will be one step closer to stepping into what God has for us.

Notice when Jesus resisted the enemy fled. The word says if we resist the devil he will flee. Which means he has no power to make us do anything we don’t want to do. Remember that there are good things on the other side of the wilderness. Just embrace your alone time with God and find peace and rest. One day you will come out of the wilderness, changed by the experience. When we kneel in prayer, we will find our purpose and will not need the shortcut of the enemy. Stand strong, resist the devil and embrace the lessons of the wilderness.

WELCOME TO GOD FOCUS THIS MORNING

THE TITLE FOR TODAY’S EPISODE:  ARE YOU READY?

I Peter 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

Are you ready to give an answer? If not, I have a few ideas to share today to get you started on having your answer ready.

We are all without hope until we accept the blood of Jesus and his plan for our lives. That is the simple answer some would brush off as being religious. Generic answers will not work, it’s about relationship. But if we can share a rock bottom moment with someone, then give God the glory it will be more accepted.

For me my rock bottom was when I fell into deep depression. Someone else’s, may be drug addiction or losing all they had financially. It could be alcohol addiction, porn addiction, there are many rock bottom moments. They are as individual as the people who suffered them.

It all starts with honor and reverence in our hearts for the Lord. Making Jesus the center of our faith. When we share the hope we have we must share Jesus, because his love and sacrifice are the reasons for our hope.

This verse doesn’t mean that we have to have an answer like a legal defense to fight against those who will not accept that Jesus gives us hope. If we take that approach we will not effectively share why we have hope.

We believe the word of God is true, that word is full of reasons to have hope. One of the main reasons is that when we become children of God we have hope of a home in heaven far away from the punishment we deserved for breaking God’s laws. His forgiveness gives us hope that we are never alone.

Another way to look at the key verse is that if we are full of God’s hope, we will live a life that causes people to question, why we have hope. The world could be flying apart and we have peace, because of Jesus.

I COR 15:19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.

This verse is a reminder that our hope is in Jesus not only for this life but the one to come.

WELCOME TO GOD FOCUS THIS MORNING

THE TITLE FOR TODAY’S EPISODE:  LIFELINE

You can’t rescue someone who doesn’t want to be rescued. Yesterday, I used the old illustration about the man that was on his roof in a flood. God sent a raft, a boat and a helicopter, but the man refused to get in the boats or to get in the helicopter. It didn’t matter his reasons; it was his choice to make.

Someone may be drowning and you throw them a lifeline, but if they don’t reach out and take it they are the ones to blame. The world is drowning in sin they are dying every day without God. But that is their choice. God gives everyone opportunity to accept him. He will not override free will.

Although, normally people refuse rescue out of fear. They do not know if they can live a Christian life; they are afraid of failure. Maybe they are too bound by evil and do not want to give up that life. They do not believe that they are that bad, they have their own set of right and wrong that doesn’t line up with God’s view.

But to the one in the raft, the one in the boat and the one on the helicopter they knew God sent them to help. Although it is disheartening, and the failure can make us question. We sometimes even wonder if they really heard from God of if we went on our own. The failure to help can be devastating, especially if the one in trouble is a loved one. God gave us all free will; we have to accept that they have the right to make their choices. People can be drowning deep in their sin but if they refuse our help, it is out of our hands.

We were obedient and did what we were sent to do. It is easy to question when we do not see the result we think will come from us being obedient. It is easy to question if we hear from God at all.

We are supposed to follow God’s plan and plant the seeds. It is up to others to make the choice to follow Jesus.  Just because a few people that we talk to refuse to accept what we are saying doesn’t mean that we give up. Somewhere out there is someone who is searching for the very word we have within us. They are lost and alone, stumbling in the dark. What happens to them if we give up? They stay lost.

We have to be encouraged that we have the lifeline people are needing. Even if some refuse it. There is a great big world out there that is doing all they can to keep from drowning. They are searching, hoping and praying for the message we carry.

You can’t rescue someone who doesn’t want to be rescued. But continue to live out your faith and pray for them.  People sometimes change their minds. Circumstances in life change every day. As long as they are breathing there is hope. That hope is our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. It is time we stand strong and keep tossing out the lifeline. The rest is out of our hands.

WELCOME TO GOD FOCUS THIS MORNING

THE TITLE FOR TODAY’S EPISODE:  GET OFF THE ROOF

There is a story that preachers often use as an illustration. It is about a man that is standing on his roof, with flood water rising quickly. Along comes a guy in a raft and offers him a ride to safety. The man or the roof says, “No that’s ok, God is going to save me.”

The water gets higher and the man prays for God to help him. Along comes a guy in a boat and offers to take the guy to safety. Again, he says, “No that’s ok, God is going to save me.” The water continues to rise now its up to the roof. Again, the guy prays for help, “Lord, save me, the water is getting deep.”

A helicopter flies over and drops a rope. The guy yells, “that’s ok, I am afraid to fly, God will save me.”

It will come as no surprise that the guy drowns. When he gets to heaven he questioned God, “Why didn’t you save me?”

God answered, I sent you a raft, a boat and a helicopter, what more should I have done?”

Often God’s answers do not come the way we think. But he always answers. This is why it is so important to pray for discernment. We do not want to miss his answers. Often, we have to do something to get the right result.

James 2:20-24 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? 22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? 23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.  24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.

If the man had stepped out and got on the raft, boat or helicopter. God would have protected him. He would have made it to safety. But because he refused to take a step of faith, he died where he was standing.

We need to learn to have faith to step out of our comfort zone. The roof at the time seemed safer than the boats or the helicopter.  But the big picture, it would not always be the safe place. Walking by faith, doesn’t mean we know beyond our next step. If the entire plan was before us, we would probably be overwhelmed by it all. We would feel like there is no way we could ever be who God needs us to be in the future.  But God grows us and when the time comes, we will be ready. God grows us very patiently one step at a time.

I often think of a scene from one of the Indiana Jones movies. Indy was at edge of a cliff. The ancient book he was using for a guide said something about the path to God being a leap of faith. To the human eye, it looked like there was a chasm, too far to jump across. The holy grail he was looking for was on the other side.

It looked like he would fall to his death, but he took the next step. There was a bridge to catch him.  It blended in with the chasm and was invisible to human eyes. Faith is taking that next scary step, knowing that God has a bridge to catch us.

The answers rarely come as we think they will. I would imagine the children of Israel never thought about the Red Sea parting for them.  We must open our minds and believe that faith means trusting God for the right outcome even when we don’t see even the next step.

Nahum 1:7 The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.

The question is, are we going to trust or are we going to stay on the roof top? Remember the comfort zone is only comfortable for a season. Something to think about today.

WELCOME TO GOD FOCUS THIS MORNING

THE TITLE FOR TODAY’S EPISODE:  ENDURANCE

Endurance is talked about in the word. But what is endurance?  When we are thinking about endurance in the bible, we can trace it back to a Greek word, hypomone pronounced (hoopmon a) which means remain under pressure without giving in. It means to have perseverance and to be determined to reach your goal. Which is often on the other side of a difficult trial.

Psalm 5:11 Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.

Endurance is about more than patience, although patience has something to do with it. It means having a deep determination to keep going in spite of the circumstances. It means overcoming obstacles and struggles even when we feel we cannot.  Jesus will give us strength to endure, if we hold on to him.

There is a reward on the other side of the endurance, if we do not give up. We have to run our race, determined. We have to dig deep within our souls and find that courage to hold on just a little while longer. These rewards are the fruit of our labor or our patient determination to keep going.

James 1:12: “Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.”

I can not think of a better reward than to face my trials with grace and strength. Knowing that one day I will hear him say, “Well done.”

Right now, the body of Christ is going through some growing pains as God removes things that have slipped into the body to cause spots and wrinkles. We will never be effective to reach the lost while there is strife and blatant sin in the body. God is separating those who are serious about their faith walk and those who attend services to personal gain and to deceive others.
Once the shaking has occurred and there is only left those who are serious about running their race with faith. Then we will see many souls added to the kingdom of God. There is joy in serving Jesus. We need to remember to share that joy with those around us. If we can endure the tough times, we will reap in joy.

GOD FOCUS THIS MORNING EP507 THE MANTLE

WELCOME TO GOD FOCUS THIS MORNING

THE TITLE FOR TODAY’S EPISODE:  THE MANTLE

In the story of Elijah and Elisha a mantle was a piece of clothing. It was a cloak or cape, a wrap or shawl. It was symbolic of how our calling in God wraps around us. A mantle in the calling sense means we have a role, duty, responsibility or position given to us of God. It is often passed from one person to another as God calls them home. A person’s mantle will fall to the next generation.

We may carry a mantle for different things. Learning to operate in our calling under that mantle is where many stay. They never step fully into their position. They never use their faith in combination with their mantle. To find the boldness to actually use the gifts that God has given. Too often we allow fear to get in our way. We need the boldness of Elisha to receive and walk into our calling.

Let’s look at the story of how Elisha received his mantle to be a prophet. He had traveled with Elijah for a while and had watched him operate in his faith. Elijah was about to leave he told Elisha he had to go to Bethel and that Elisha could stay behind. He pressed him to go along with him. Then again Elijah said he had to go to Jericho and told Elisha to stay. But he pressed again to go along. Then Elijah had to go on to Jordan. Again, the same thing happened. Each time Elisha pressed him to go along. Each stop along the way, prophets would tell Elisha that the Lord was removing Elijah that day. He kept telling them he knew.

I am sure he had many questions like we all do. But he decided that he wanted to walk in Elijah’s footsteps and be a prophet of God. He had witnessed the boldness of Elijah and knew God honored boldness. The scripture I will share picks up right before God takes Elijah. To get the full effect I suggest you read the whole second chapter of 2 Kings.

2 KGS 2:8-15

8 And Elijah took his mantle, and wrapped it together, and smote the waters, and they were divided hither and thither, so that they two went over on dry ground. 9 And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me. 10 And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so. 11 And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. 12 And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces.  13 He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and went back, and stood by the bank of Jordan; 14 And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the Lord God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over. 15 And when the sons of the prophets which were to view at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.

In order to operate in the mantle of a prophet, Elisha had to have faith. He had seen a lot while he was with Elijah. He didn’t pick the mantle up and wonder, will this work for me. No, he believed because he knew what Elijah had said to him.

2 Kgs 2:10 And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so.

Elisha saw him be taken up and the mantle fell to the earth. He trusted that God would give him the anointing in abundant measure. He exercised his boldness to even ask for a double portion of anointing. He was bold to refuse to stay behind, but to follow Elijah.

Why would he not boldly pick up the mantle and use it. He asked where God was, when the waters parted, he knew God was with him. If he had been like some of us, that may have not happened because of doubt. He didn’t pick it up and say, “I wonder if it will work for me?”  “Will God really give me a double portion of his anointing?”  But he didn’t doubt he proceeded boldly to cross.

This was the beginning of him walking in the authority and anointing without a mentor. He had to rely on God for himself. We have all had that special person that was our compass. Someone who kept us pointed the right direction and in God’s will. Mine was my very wise grandfather.  He served God will all of his heart and strength. When we lost him, the whole family not only lost a father and grandfather but we lost our mentor.

Suddenly we were all left to find our own way to hear from God. It has been a long journey, but I know that God is getting ready to do amazing things in the earth. We as his children are privileged to be alive in this day and age. We will see God move in miraculous ways, but we have to be bold enough to pick up whatever mantle he has given us and strike the water.

If you don’t know what your calling is, it is ok. God will show you if you ask him. He is waiting for your surrender, he will shine down on you and lead you to where you need to be, because he has plenty for us all to do. The harvest is ready and the time is short. This is why God is going to empower our generation, like no generation before us. If we are bold enough and obedient enough to pick up the mantle.

WELCOME TO GOD FOCUS THIS MORNING

THE TITLE FOR TODAY’S EPISODE:  DON’T JUDGE THE WIDOW’S MITES

God’s economy doesn’t work like the rest of the world.  He can take two fish and five barley loaves and feed a multitude. He can take a small amount of oil and fill many vessels, enough for a widow to get out of debt. Then there is the story of the widow who was at the temple, Jesus used her to illustrate a point to his disciples. He wanted them to understand God doesn’t see money like we do.

Mark 12:41-44 And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much. 42 And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing. 43 And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury: 44 For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.

She gave all she had, the entire amount of her wealth or substance. Jesus said it was more that those who gave large amounts out of their vast wealth. God doesn’t judge things as we do. He judged their offering by the amount of sacrifice and the attitude with which they gave it. Did they give it to be seen and admired of men? Did they give it with a pure heart before God? The widow gave to honor God, this is why we know about her even today.

The Pharisees with their large egos wanted to show how holy and righteous they were, so they would make a show of their giving. They may have impressed people standing by, but it didn’t impress God. Just like their worship was for show.

Matt 15:8-9 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. 9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

God wants everything we do to be intentional and with the right attitude. Are people worshipping to be seen, or are they touching the heart of God. With their consecration to him?  He doesn’t want us to worship to be seen. People may judge your worship one way, but God sees the heart. He knows our hearts. He sees all the times we worship him in private and how many times we search for that secret place to get in his presence. Many worship in their prayer closets away from prying eyes.

Jesus spoke against the Pharisees, standing on the street corner in their elaborate costumes reciting long eloquent prayers to impress people. They wanted admiration of men and that is what they received. But God was not impressed with their robes or prayers.

Matt 6:3-7 But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: 4 That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly. 5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. 6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. 7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

There is a phrase, “Little is much if the Lord is in it.”  This is true of the widow’s offering. Because she showed God that she trusted him to take care of her. In giving she had peace that he would see to her every need.

WELCOME TO GOD FOCUS THIS MORNING

THE TITLE FOR TODAY’S EPISODE:  WORK IT OUT

We are each responsible for our own faith walk. The choices we make will shape how we walk out our faith. Paul wrote to the Philippians that they should continue to live out their faith reminding them of the seriousness of their faith walk. No one can do it for you. No one can trust God for your salvation but you. It is possible for us to pray for someone and God draw them to him, but ultimately they are responsible to yield their lives to him.

Phil 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

He didn’t tell them to work out their salvation meaning it’s ok to take bits and pieces of religions and make them what you want to do. It didn’t mean that we have to work for our salvation. He was saying that we walk out our faith doing our best to be consistent in our faith.

Salvation is not a one time prayer and you can live your life as you choose. It is an ongoing daily walking out of our faith. We are responsible for our prayer life, we are responsible to search the word for ourselves. We cannot rely on a large portion of preachers, this is why we need to know for ourselves what the word says. That is part of working out our salvation, we need to work things out in our minds according to the word. Taking what is preached and compare it to the word.

I will once again remind you how important it is to pray and study, especially now as the world spins out of control. Daily asking God for guidance and to keep our feet on the right path is critical in the times in which we are living.

So get in the word, pray and work it out so you can walk it out. God loves each of us so very much, he will not let us down.

We never fight the enemy alone. Jesus’ blood is our cloak of protection from the enemy.

I have been encouraged and strengthened by my elders. This is why testimonies are so important. They give the hearer something to hold onto when things get tough. The Jewish people were faithful to pass down their stories from generation to generation. We too need to share our faith and testimony with future generation.

Psalm 44:1-3  We have heard with our ears, O God, our fathers have told us, what work thou didst in their days, in the times of old. 2 How thou didst drive out the heathen with thy hand, and plantedst them; how thou didst afflict the people, and cast them out. 3 For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them.

In a court of law, testimonies are firsthand accounts of certain events. People share the information that they have about an event that has taken place. They determine how the court will rule in the case.

From a Christian point of view, testimonies are first hand accounts of what God has done. Testimonies prove God’s faithfulness, his character and abilities to turn around impossible situations. It is about declaring what God has done. Those who hear and accept our words as truth will be encouraged and strengthened by our experiences.

We gain the ability to overcome when we share our testimony.  Speaking out loud and sharing what the Lord has done for us. Renews our strength and encourages us to keep going. If God brought us through one difficult season, he will bring us through the next one. Our faith determines how the courts of heaven will rule. What will the answer be to what we have prayed?

Rev 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

If you think about it a large portion of the Bible is a first-hand account of events and times that God moved for his people. Testimonies are about giving glory to God for the wonderful things he has done. Sharing how he moved at just the right time.

I feel it is important to write things down in a journal. I have been encouraged by things written in my journals, when I go back and look at them years later. I write about how God has answered my prayers.  When I get discouraged, I look at my journals and I am always encouraged.  I think back about how discouraged I was before each breakthrough. It gives me courage to keep having faith.

By sharing our testimonies, we can share the good news of the gospel.  Letting our light shine into the darkness is what life is all about.

Thanks for watching,
