WELCOME TO GOD FOCUS THIS MORNING

THE TITLE FOR TODAY’S EPISODE:  TO LIVE IS CHRIST

I have been thinking a lot about being completely sold out to Christ. What can I do to draw closer to who I was created to be, by God. I was watching the Charlie Kirk memorial service for a little while over the weekend. The thought crossed my mind, I wonder what he would think of all of this attention. Would he have loved all the fanfare or would he have said, to live is Christ to die is gain.

If he would have known that his death would have reached so many around the entire world, would he have asked to give his life sooner. After all our life is like a vapor. The best any child of God can hope for is that our lives and even our death points others to the cross. That is our mission, that is why we wake up each day and ask God to guide our footsteps. We know he will guide us to someone we can share the good news of Jesus.

The world around us is very dark. The enemy tries to make it darker each day. But we can do something about the darkness, we can choose to shine. Jesus is the light, he lives within us, it is time we allow him to shine in us. We never know how the world will change with just one person. This is a lesson we can take away from this tragedy. We may never speak in front of a large crowd, but maybe someone we reach will be that bright beacon.

Phil 1:20-21 According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death. 21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

May we all be found doing what God has called us to do when our time comes to leave this world. Because this life is meant to live fully sold out to the cause of Christ. To show others that sharing God’s Love is the only way to live and the only way to die.
