WELCOME TO GOD FOCUS THIS MORNING

The title of today’s episode is: “NO PLACE FOR THE DEVIL”

Eph 4:27-Neither give place to the devil.

This verse is short but powerful. We cannot give the enemy room to cause chaos in our lives. When it says place, it means opportunity. Don’t give the enemy an opportunity.  The definition of opportunity is a set of circumstances that make it possible to do something.

He will grab the chance if we let him. He will seize every opportunity given to him. Because he is jealous of the love, God pours out on his bride. The devil hates it when we worship God. That was his job, but he failed when he tried to take over heaven.

The devil wants us to fear him. He tries to manipulate us into thinking he controls what happens to us.  I am not saying he doesn’t send people to cause issues in our lives. But he doesn’t have the final say. He is not in charge of our lives.

We are children of the most high God. He has all power and has given us authority over the enemy. Luke 10:18-19 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.  19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

God has given us power over the power of the enemy. Do we believe we have that power? It is time the body of Christ realizes the power Jesus had when he walked this earth, he has given to his body collectively. But we cannot surrender our place in the body of Christ to the enemy.

We must be bold in our faith and stand strong against the enemy. I think a lot of us have bought into Hollywood’s imagery of satan. They show him as evil and in charge of hell. But the word of God tells us a different story. It tells us that he will be bound and cast into the lake of fire.  He will not be in charge.

Isaiah 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. 15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. 16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;

Pay close attention to verse 16; They that see thee will say is this not the man that made the earth to tremble.  In other words, we will see him for how pathetic he is and will be surprised that we ever let him get to us. We will be shocked to see him as he really is, and not how we have perceived him to be.

This is to encourage you to think about how we have power over the enemy.  Just as God has always brought down the enemy of his people. So, stand strong and do not give space for the enemy to cause you to have fear and doubt.  I’ve read the back of the book…God wins, and We win.
