Hello my friends:

The title of today’s episode is: “Our Strength and our Redeemer”

Psalm 19:14  Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.

We have all said something unkind that we would like to take back.  The Bible says the tongue is hard to tame.  We have, at times, allowed our minds to get fixed on a goal or material thing. Distractions are all around. But only in Jesus can we have true peace.

Only when we focus completely on Jesus will all of our words and our actions be acceptable in his sight. He is so faithful to be there, to help us up when we fall. Our strength comes from the Lord.  He is our Lord, Savior, Father and Friend.  He is the one who saw something special in each of us, enough to die to save us.

Psalm 46:1  God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

It was a sad day for God when Adam and Eve broke their communication with him and listened to a snake instead. Adam gave satan his power and authority over the earth. Ever since then people have believed the lies of Satan. Some for only a season. Some never recover from satan’s lies. Some of the biggest lies ever told to mankind have come from a pulpit. The lie that you can repent and then go live anyway you wish, and you are still saved. That is not true, we have to try every day to live a sinless life. Will we fail? Probably, but God is faithful to deliver us from ourselves if we ask him to forgive us. He will help us to live the right way.

Jesus came and died to save us from satan’s power and restored the authority to mankind in this earth. He gave us power to become the sons of God. This makes us the redeemed and him our redeemer.

God wants us to desire to spend time with him. It all boils down to it being a heart thing. He wants our heart to be right. He wants us to love him with our whole heart. If we love him, we will not want to allow sin to reign in our life. Does that mean we will be perfect and not make mistakes? No. Does it mean that we will always walk in love? No.  We are human and the human factor will come into play at some point.

When we take our focus off of God and allow a distraction to have our focus, the human factor comes in. If we are not careful, the distractions will cause us to walk in the flesh. We are human and still live in an imperfect world, inside imperfect flesh. God’s compassionate heart understands our weakness. He honors us by pushing beyond the distractions and spending time with Him.

Redeemer can be defined as one that saves from danger or destruction. Redeemed is defined as gain or regain possession of (something) in exchange for payment or ransom. Jesus is the ultimate redeemer because He saved us from the pit of hell. He did this by paying the ransom with his life of the cross of calvary.

We should be excited that he redeemed us or saved us from the horrible pit of hell. He thought enough of us to die on a cross for us. We need to be so excited that we share the news of our redeemer. Let my words today be an encouragement to you to share the story of your redeemer.

Until next time,

Be bold be brave and keep your God Focus
