What Price?

Where would the church be without those who have gone before, who stood firmly for the truth? Now it is our time to stand firm.  We have to be sold out, 100 percent to the cause of Christ. Many souls are hanging in the balance. They are desperate for us to reach out and pull them back from the edge of hell.

They are dancing on the edge of hell about to fall into the abyss of it all; to be tormented for eternity.  What price would you pay to save even one? (I know that Jesus paid the ultimate price for salvation.)  But what price is too high to pay to point even one to Calvary?  Sit still and ponder that for a moment. What sacrifice is too great? We have received salvation because someone sacrificed for the gospel.

I have often tried to read the book titled, Foxe’s Book of Martyrs. It is church history and stories of how people were tortured for standing for our Lord Jesus Christ.  It breaks my heart and bothers me too much to read. Yet real people lived out this in their lives. They watched their family be tortured and killed for not denying Jesus. If the body of Christ could get on fire and be sold out to the cause of Christ, things would change in our world.  Harvest time is now. Not next week, next month, next year because people are dying every day without Jesus Christ.  Gal 2:20  I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. But are we really living for Christ?  Let me tell you this has been all over my toes this week. Never pray for God to draw you closer to him and empower you to do his will, unless you really mean it.

In Bible times many worshipped false gods. They actually bowed before statues made of gold or precious metals. We do not have a lot of that today (although there is some of that in America) But we often bow down to things that are not godly. We get lazy sometimes in serving God. We don’t pray or read our bible like we should.  People need us to be the end-time church. God wants the only thing we have to give, our free will.  He wants us to just LOVE Him and surrender to his will for our lives.

The children of Israel are our example of what not to do.  Because of unbelief and their inability to change from their old ways, they died in the desert. Those who were born during the journey made it to the promised land. We are new creatures in Christ Jesus.  Only what is born (our spirit man) during the process will see the promised land.  We need to shake off the old ways of our flesh and walk into the growing process of becoming like Christ.

The spirit of our flesh will send us straight to hell if we let it.  We have to fight it every day. Again, I want to ask what price is too high to see one soul saved?  What price is too high if it is someone you love?

BE BOLD, BE BRAVE AND KEEP YOUR GOD FOCUS
