Faith When you feel your faith waning, need more faith, or need support from the Lord during times when life is problematic or even overwhelming, recite these passages of faith. End each passage with "thank you Lord!, or thank you God!" in gratitude. Verses quoted are from the King James and NIV translations. Heb. 11:1 …faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. Rom. 1:17 …in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: "The righteous will live by faith." 2 Cor. 5:7 We live by faith, not by sight. Rom. 5:1-2 …since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand… Rom. 12:3 For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you. Heb. 4:14 …we have a great high priest who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. Mar. 9:23 "Everything is possible for him who believes." Rom. 10:8 "The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart," that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming Philem. 1:6 I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ. Heb. 10:23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) Heb. 10:38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. Heb. 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. Jam. 5:14-15 Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. 1 Pet. 1:8 Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy Mar. 11:22-25 "Have faith in God," Jesus answered. "I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins. 1 Cor. 2:5 so that your faith might not rest on men's wisdom, but on God's power. Matt. 9:21-22 Just then a woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak. She said to herself, "If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed." Matt. 17:20 …if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you. 1 Cor. 16:13-14 Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong. Do everything in love. Gal. 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Gal. 3:26 You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus Rom. 10:17 …faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ. Eph. 2:8 …it is by grace you have been saved, through faith — and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God
